How do I complete/update my profile?

2. Click on the 'Update my Profile' tab to edit the individual sections

This section let employers know how you can be contacted. You must provide a valid email address in order for TuitionJobsPortal.com and employers to contact you. Always keep your contact information up-to-date so that you can be reached if you are short-listed for a tuition job interview.
- Preferences, Experience and Commitment
Fill in the level and subjects you are interested in teaching, experience, commitment, preferred areas and expected rate.
- Qualifications & Results
Fill in your all your qualifications obtained. You are advise to key in all the results of the subjects you are interested in teaching so as to facilitate the process of selection.

- Your profile is complete.

- Go to Featured Tuition Jobs at the bottom of the home page.
- Click on the 'Shortlist' button of the tuition job you are interested in then client on the 'Submit my Shortlist' and fill in the details to submit your application.
Due to privacy reasons, we do not update your profile, send your profile to third parties or apply to any tuition jobs on your behalf. With TuitionJobsPortal.com, your profile and application to any tuition job is completely confidential and totally within your control.
To create/update your profile:

Go to the Featured Jobs.
Click on Advanced Search.
Fill in all the necessary information and then click on the 'Search' button.
You may refine your search using the Advanced Search option.
You may upload your photograph by selecting Update my Profile and scroll down to Upload a Photo follow the steps below:
Scan your passport size photograph (or any other photograph, with the dimension of about 120 pixel wide and 140 pixel high.)
Save the photograph in JPEG, JPG or GIF or PNG format, ensure that the file size do not exceed 3 MB.
Click the box that says 'Choose File'
A popup window will ask for the filename of your photograph. Enter the path and filename of your photograph or click the 'Browse' button to locate it, and then click on the 'Upload' button.
Click on 'Close window'. You will now see your photograph on the page
To validate your email address:
- Look for an email from info@tuitionjobsportal.com with the subject "Welcome to TuitionJobsPortal.com".
- Click on the link provided in the email.

The decision to choose, short-list or hire is in the hands of the employer. TuitionJobsPortal.com is not involved in the recruiting process. Your potential employer will contact you directly either by email or telephone, if you are short-listed by them. You can also make use of the priority application to make your profile more noticeable to potential employers.
To edit your Expected Rate, please follow the steps below:
Login to your TuitionJobsPortal.com account
Click on 'Update my Profile' tab
Click on the 'Expected Rate' tab
Make the necessary changes for different levels and click on the 'Save' button.
Expected Rate tends to enable better tuition job matching.
There are compulsory fields and optional ones. Compulsory fields are marked with 'this field is compulsory'. You must fill in the compulsory fields. If you fail to do so, your form will not be processed and the system will prompt you back to those fields. As for optional fields, we strongly recommend you to provide the information so that your Profile will be more complete.
You may upload your photograph under Update your profile, Upload a Photo section. Please follow the steps below:

Please check whether your photograph meets the below requirement:
- File size must not exceed 3 MB.
- Photograph must be in JPG/JPEG or GIF or PNG format only. You can use most graphic software to convert and save your photograph in these formats. The extension of your file should then be .gif or .jpg or .png, for example: myphoto.gif or myphoto.jpg or myphoto.png
- Ideal dimension to save your photograph is 120 x 140 pixels.
To allow employers to search your profile, you have to activate this function by selecting the 'Searchable with Contact Details' option. Employers will see your FULL profile. If an employer is interested in you, they may contact you directly for new opportunities. You can view, deactivate or reactivate your searchable profile anytime.
Click on 'Update my Profile' tab and select Privacy Setting section. Select the privacy level which you are most comfortable with.
Yes, it is SAFE. Only employers registered with TuitionJobsPortal.com can search for the searchable version of your Profile. Your application history will not be revealed. You can view your Searchable Profile to check that no confidential information is revealed before activating it. If you chose the 'Searchable with Contact Details' option, the employers will see your contact details.
There are two types of privacy setting:
Searchable with Contact Details - Allow employers to search for your profile and see your name and contact details
Not Searchable - Do not allow employers to search for your profile.
TuitionJobsPortal.com admin will be sending your profile to the employer and the employer will call you up for an interview.
If you are not shortlisted, you will not receive any notification.
If you would like to withdraw your applications, you can email us via inquiry to inform us. Thank you.
The activity of choosing, short listing or hiring depends on the employer. TuitionJobsPortal.com advises tuition job seekers to wait for a month for feedback. However, if you do not hear from the employer within a month, you might want to consider the application as unsuccessful. At the same time, we are constantly working with the employers to help them improve their processing cycle time.
There are a few possible reasons why your application failed:
- You did not complete every part of the application form.
- Invalid Login ID/password entered. Go to the Forgot Login ID/Password to retrieve your Login ID/Password, which will be sent to you by email.

Please note that although an employer views your full profile, your chances of securing the job will still depend on your suitability for the position.

In the 'Profile Notification Setting' column, select 'Do not like to Receive Notification of Tuition Jobs via Text Message'.
